AN EXPLORATION IN COPPER

Brazier Moon is a witchy, eclectic mix of sustainable art and jewelry, utilizing mostly salvaged and recycled copper. Artist, designer, and owner, Amber Clarkson, creates all pieces by hand with love and intention, envisioning her main muse, Mother Moon and her many phases. Amber incorporates a wide array of semi-precious gemstones into her work, and due to the many transformational stages copper takes on through chemical and elemental reactions from the atmosphere, no two pieces will ever be alike, rendering every artifact she makes one-of-a-kind. Amber’s studio is located in Rising Fawn, Georgia, atop Lookout Mountain, a narrow southwestern ridge of the Cumberland Plateau and a segment of the Appalachian Mountains.

Green stains on the skin occur mostly when wearing rings, and are believed to have healing effects on the body since copper is an essential mineral in the body. But if these stains are too bothersome, you can prevent this by applying a coat of clear fingernail polish to the area of the copper that comes into contact with the skin. Reapplication will be required ever so often.
